Dr. Melvin Korattiyil

Dr. Melvin Korattiyil earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. He furthered his education by completing a residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Miami, FL, where he was chief resident.

Dr. Korattiyil has a passion for continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to better serve the dental needs of his patients. He takes pride in providing a gentle and comfortable dental experience. Dr. Korattiyil is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and was recognized as a Top Dentist in Sarasota from 2017 to 2026.

“I love living on the Suncoast. My family and I currently live in Sarasota. My wife was my college sweetheart, and together we have two young sons and a daughter who keep us busy and bring so much joy into our lives. I truly enjoy and appreciate all that is available to my family here in the Sarasota and Bradenton areas. When I am not caring for my wonderful patients, I enjoy spending time with my family. Being a good father and husband is something I take great pride in. During my free time, I also like to compete in races, train in martial arts, and read. I also feel it is highly important for me to give back to our community. Therefore, I spend time volunteering with various dental charities, my local church, and local community events. ”
